Scandinavian Wave has designed and developed the award winning LivingSwedish online design store, to spearhead small Scandinavian designer brands onto the Japanese market.
Entry market strategy for Japan traditionally involves years of research, travelling back and forth and painstakingly establishing contacts, trying to find reliable interpreters or local partners to avoid the most blatant communication mishaps and legal pitfalls.
Now, a lot of that is still true when establishing a long term presence, although we can do all of that for you and save you a lot of frustration, time and money in the process. However, now there is also an attractive alternative – or complement – to the long road to asia!

How do we do it?
Competition on the Japanese consumer market is fierce by any standards. Brands and products are often short lived, and soon forgotten for the next big thing. However, the key to any market is prolonged and effective exposure and the Japanese is no exception.
Our inhouse staff creates product presentations, fact sheets and mini-biographies of all our designers in colloquial Japanese, and makes sure your product is presented in a way appropriate for the target demographic. In short, it’s Scandinavian e-commerce – in Japanese!
